Bobath Centre - Gardening Volunteer

Role

To assist in keeping the outdoor and green spaces at the National Bobath Cerebral Palsy Centre in good condition. This will be done by weeding, pruning, watering and occasional planting of borders and pots.

 

 

Abilities & skills required

Gardening knowledge

Some gardening knowledge would be useful but not essential. A plan of the planted areas will be available as a guide and you will be following a work schedule devised by the Chief Operating Officer.

 

Self starter/Team member

You may be required to work unsupervised or be part of a team depending on the task.

 

Support

You will be supported by the Chief Operating Officer. The manager will explain the work of the charity and any health and safety issues involved in gardening. Training will be provided as required.

 

All expenses associated with the role will be paid.

 

Time commitment

You will need to commit a minimum of 2-3 hours a month although this may vary depending on the time of year.

 

Other

The role will suit a person with a reasonable level of fitness who enjoys working outdoors.
