Carers in Hertfordshire – Bereavement Volunteer

Carers in Hertfordshire are recruiting 8 people to become Bereavement Volunteers, to start training in September.

Carers in Hertfordshire offers bereavement support in group sessions as well as telephone support. In 2019-2020, the Bereavement volunteers supported 248 bereaved carers. The need for support is growing due to the COVID-19 crisis and we want to extend our volunteer team to be able to respond to this increase in demand.

Carers in Hertfordshire – Keeping in Touch Volunteer

Carers in Hertfordshire are looking to recruit 10 people to become Keeping in Touch Volunteers, to start as soon as possible.

Due to coronavirus and the support we have needed to offer, we are being more proactive with our carers and seeing real benefits.  We need to recruit new Keep In Touch Volunteers to help us with this role.  We aim to contact 6000 carers by December 2020.  Carers in Hertfordshire is a charity supporting family carers caring for someone who is elderly, ill or disabled and relies on that support.  Carers often care for a relative, child or friend and the care they provide is unpaid.
