W3RT - Community Cars volunteer driver
Community Cars provides journeys for those unable to use public transport due to mobility or health issues. Our team of Volunteer drivers use their own cars to transport passengers to hospital, GP and other health appointments as well as helping them to stay socially active. Community Cars serves residents across Watford and Three Rivers and provides a safe, reliable and affordable service. Demand for the service continues to increase and we really need your support to help local people stay well and reduce loneliness.
We are looking for new volunteer drivers to help us provide this essential Community Cars service. If you have your own car, some spare time and a valid driving licence then we’d love to hear from you. Our volunteers are able to claim back mileage costs. Flexibility to give as much or as little time as you can, between Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm.
W3RT - Personal Shopper Volunteer
To support vulnerable or elderly people in the community by carrying out weekly food shops and delivering it to them.
You must be friendly, respectful and trustworthy and you must be able to make clear arrangements with people and complete the agreed tasks faithfully and within the agreed timetable.
We are looking for new volunteers to help us provide this essential shopping service. If you have your own car, some spare time and a valid driving licence then we’d love to hear from you. Our volunteers will be paid back any expenses. Flexibility to give as much or as little time as you can.
