Watford Palace Theatre

Imagine Watford is an exciting outdoor arts festival that allows Watford Palace Theatre to bring spectacular performances outdoors onto the streets of Watford.

In 2020 the Festival was cancelled due to the pandemic.  This year to ensure the festival goes ahead and provides much needed joy to our community after an incredibly difficult year, we have had to ‘reimagine’ the festival.

To enable free access to great arts across the town in a Covid safe manner the festival will take place throughout July at different sites across Watford – Garfield Park, King George V Playing Field, Watford Fields and the Event Space at the Pond on the Parade.

Are you interested in volunteering to be a part of the action?  As an Imagine Watford volunteer you will have the opportunity to make new friends, give back to the community, support the arts, experience the festival from behind the scenes and be part of something really special.

Volunteering is also a fantastic way to gain work experience, improve your CV and develop the skills that employers are looking for. If you have an interest in events management, working in the arts or with the public - volunteering with Imagine Watford could be ideal for you.

Festival Stewards

As a Festival Steward youwill monitor the audience during shows, ensuring people with access needs have a place to sit and little kids don’t stray too close to the crazy acrobats jumping through the air! You will usher festival audiences from one marvel to the next and ensure everyone knows where they are going.

Artist Liaison Officers

Being the ultimate artiste liaison connoisseur, no job will be too big or too small in the name of supporting our fabulous artists and performers. You will be there to ensure that the artists are welcomed warmly and shown around the festival site. You will ensure that refreshments are well stocked and that artists have everything they need for the performance to run smoothly.

Event Promoters

Engaging with our audiences is really important. You will be the voice of Imagine Watford and engage in conversation with visitors young and old, as well as distribute promotional material.
